As noted by tv on -dev ml:

Indeed it's a libpng regression:

$ qiv drakx/perl-install/install/pixmaps/langs/lang-qu.png

Fatal error in PNG image file: IDAT: invalid distance too far back

workarounded by running mga3's pngcrush on it
