Description David Walser 2013-07-18 03:43:43 CEST
Packages related to OpenStack were imported into Mageia late in the Mageia 3 development process, but they were not ready to ship and were deleted before release. One of those packages, python-keystoneclient, was unfortunately missed and was included in Mageia 3 (I guess there's nothing we can do about that now). It (as well as the other openstack packages still in SVN) is now unmaintained, as the maintainer of those packages, Sandro Cazzaniga, a.k.a. kharec, has left Mageia. Even before he left, the security issues in the python-keystoneclient package alone were not being taken care of (see Bug 10429).

Please remove this package from Cauldron, so that it doesn't accidentally slip into Mageia 4 as well. Then we can remove all OpenStack-related packages from SVN, as nobody in Mageia has any interest in maintaining them. Thanks.
