Description David Walser 2013-07-17 02:07:13 CEST
Late in the Mageia 3 development cycle, our mediawiki package was updated from 1.19.x to 1.20.x. The mediawiki-ldapauthentication package was not updated at that time to a version meant for mediawiki 1.20. I am providing this update now.

Advisory:
----------------

This update provides an updated LdapAuthenticaion plugin meant for use with
MediaWiki 1.20.

Updated packages:
----------------
mediawiki-ldapauthentication-2.0c-1.mga3

from mediawiki-ldapauthentication-2.0c-1.mga3.src.rpm

Yes I know the core/release version is broken, it mistakenly requires mediawiki-renameuser. The update candidate is fixed and removes this requirement.
Comment 3 David Walser 2013-07-19 14:24:20 CEST
For QA purposes, verifying that the updated package installs fine and MediaWiki sees the extension should be sufficient.

If you want to actually test the functionality, you'll need an LDAP server set up to authenticate against. It's a bit laborious to set up, but the documentation is pretty good:

Agreed. If it doesn't work, it isn't breaking anything that does work.

Validating the update based on the extension installing cleanly on
both i586 and x86_64.

Could someone from the sysadmin team push 10785.adv to updates.

FWIW I can verify that this package functions properly, as I'm using it in production at work :o) Thanks Dave.
