Description of problem:
After updating to mc-4.8.7-2.1.mga3, starting mc in any terminal times out trying to start it's subshell, causing a 10 second delay when git-info-bar package is also installed. 

While running mc, ctrl-o would normally switch you to the subshell prompt, but it switches you to a blank screen and any keypress returns you to mc.

Uninstalling git-info-bar fixes the problem.

1. Install or update to mc-4.8.7-2.1.mga3
2. Install git-info-bar
3. Start mc from a terminal

I am seeing the same thing with the original 
mc-4.8.7-2.mga3.x86_64.rpm and git-info-bar-1.1.0-2.mga3.noarch.rpm

On starting mc there is a delay (more like 5 secs than 10)
On hitting ctl-o it goes to a shell but pressing any key returns to mc

If I upgrade to git-info-bar-1.1.8-1.mga4.noarch from cauldron then both
mc-4.8.7-2.mga3.x86_64.rpm and the recent update mc-4.8.7-2.1.mga3 work as expected.

There is another bug open on git-info-bar Bug 9845
copying Guillaume Rousse in case they are related.

Without [mc] in summary this Bugzilla is too broken to find midnight commander bugs that do not also find an overabundance of unrelated bugs:

Mageia 3 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status 4 months ago.

Mageia 3 is no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug.

If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of Mageia
