Description of problem: Mandriva LiveCD provided non-free modules for graphics cards and wifi cards those cards were detected and the "drivers" installed, working fine. Fedora provides no non-free module on its LiveCD but we can install them and use them after X restart (a little tricky but doable : adding repos, downloading and adding some rpms, ) Mageia LiveCD doesn't provide non-free drivers but with the MCC we can have the option to use proprietary module built for a graphic card ; but we can't use them... (for instance nvidia-current module is correctly built bad cannot be installed when XFdrake try to use it) It would be nice to provide the non-free modules (and to allow their automatical use) on the liveCD Nevertheless this LiveCD works very well on my computer (except for Amarok not reading mp3... that was an other little bug easy to correct) CM ASUS M2N-SLI CG nVidia GeForce 210 Audio SoundBlaster Live! I am against providing non free software on the live cd but maybe other people don't agree... I think you should be able to install them like in fedora

FWIW, switching from nouveau <-> nvidia proprietary requires a reboot to be safely done, as nouveau has a kernel module.
Graphics drivers as high ranking a the wifi cards if you ask me. Although wifi is easier to install than graphics, it is still a huge pain. Fedora have at least the intel cards ootb, so maybe something similar here would be good. As i recall Ubuntu and a few others do aswell.

since we have can build the module of the kernel (like dkms) this is fixed. (and these rpms are in the livecd (pre-beta3)
