Since Mageia 1, when running XBMC, I noticed that performance on MKV videos are worse than in other distros (ie Chakra Linux or Arch Linux) if I play 1080p MKV videos on 1920x1080 resolution. This problem doesn't exist if I build XBMC from source code. The hardware on this occurs is AMD APUs with Catalyst drivers (now with AMD E2-1800, in the past with AMD E-350). If I set up XBMC with 1360x768 resolution (for example), this problem doesn't reproduces.
