Description of problem: Removing an icon from the lxde desktop that "links" to an actual file system directory (e.g., in $HOME) removes the contents of that directory, not just the icon! This results in undesirable destruction of files and directories. This is very non-standard behavior for icons. It may be the case in some desktop software packages that removal of icons is tied to the removal of the pointed-at contents. I have never experienced this before lxde/pcmanfm. I have filed this as BUG 3614304 against pcmanfm on sourceforge. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): pcmanfm-1.1.0-4.mga3 How reproducible: Nauseatingly so. Steps to Reproduce (one method, anyway): 1. Make Directory in $HOME unreadable and unwritable. 2. This should force pcmanfm to create icons for all the directories in $HOME 3. Make backups of anything you care about under your $HOME that appear as icons. 4. Delete one of these icons. 5. Watch the home directory and its contents disappear forever. It's lots of fun. You should try it sometime. Reproducible: Steps to Reproduce:
