Description of problem: Shorewall blocks all outbound traffic on tun0. This renders vpnc and similar software (e.g. Citric receiver) completely unusable without many clues as to the problem. The fix is simple: Add the following line to the end of the file /etc/shorewall/interfaces: net tun0 detect This took a huge amount of time to work out what was happening! I suggest this be added to the Mageia 3 Errata. The firewall configuration, which is broken anyway (https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=10155), should recognise and deal with the non-permanent tun0 interface as it used to. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): How reproducible: 100% Steps to Reproduce: 1. Connect to a server with vpnc. 2. Watch the computer being blocked from all internet access (HTTP, SSH, everything). 3. Reproducible: Steps to Reproduce:
Summary: The tun0 network interface is not configured in shorewall - vpnc does not work. => The tun0 network interface is not configured in shorewall - vpnc and Citrix receiver does not work.
