On a Samsung netbook (Atom n550) I have only a black screen after installing Mga3. The LiveDVD-KDE does work flawlessly, but the installed version does not show any graphics (neither plymouth nor x-server). You can hear the KDE login sound so the system does seem to boot properly. When booting into failsafe mode and then changing to the normal mode using "systemctl default", the graphics start normally. So I think that there must be some problems in the "normal mode" boot process. Reproducible: Steps to Reproduce:

Not really sure TBH. It could be something to do with not initialising the display properly when the "quiet" command line is supplied? Perhaps try removing that from the kernel command line.
I tried that. No change. I thought it could be something in the order services are started.
I found some differences in Xorg.0.log When booting normally, Xorg.0.log ends with some errors, about not finding the screen. When booting with the failsafe kernel parameter and then using "systemctl default", there are no such errors. See attached files.
Created attachment 4283 [details] Xorg.0.log when booting normally This is the Xorg.0.log as I see it after trying to boot normally
Created attachment 4284 [details] Xorg.0.log when booting failsafe The Xorg.0.log file as seen, when booting with the failsafe kernel parameter and then starting the system using "systemctl default"
Found something googling for the error message from the above Xorg.0.log: When using "i915.modeset=1" it boots all right. I have no boot splash (adding the splash kernel parameter breaks it again), but at least the system is booting into graphics mode.
