Description Guy Strickling 2013-05-20 13:11:07 CEST
Description of problem: upgrade from Mageia 2 and doesn't recognize the dvd drive after install, when the system is running.
I tried to load software from disk and the problem exists on all machines.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):Mageia 3

How reproducible:I've had the same problem on a desktop and a laptop each time attempting to read a disk

Steps to Reproduce:
1.boot system
2.put dvd in drive
3.says an error prevented the system from loading the disk.

An error occurred while accessing 'Mageia-3-x86_64', the system responded: The requested operation has failed: Error mounting system-managed device /dev/sr0: Command-line `mount "/media/cdrom"' exited with non-zero exit status 32: mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sr0,
missing codepage or helper program, or other error
In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try
       dmesg | tail or so

Reproducible:

I downloaded the x86_64, 3.67 gb and upgraded three machines (one laptop, two desktops) I didn't realize this problem until attempting to install additional software and was asked to put the install disk into the drive. I don't know if this will occur with a fresh install.

I am seeing this bug also. I upgraded from Mageia 2, which was working correctly, and suddenly I could not mount DVD.

An error occurred while accessing 'any_DVD', the system responded: The requested operation has failed: Error mounting system-managed device /dev/sr0: Command-line `mount "/media/cdrom"' exited with non-zero exit status 32: mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sr0,
missing codepage or helper program, or other error
In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try
       dmesg | tail or so

this message is shown on Dolphin when clicking on DVD to try to mount it.
