thierry, seems a duplicate of the upgrade-helper crash ?

Yes and no. libpango got upgraded and new libpango + its new use of harfbuzz is not compatible with currently running applications. We would to restore the restart mechanism for mgaapplet and extends it to net_applet. The point being have all the needed perl modules being installed at that point. However, it would not catch all usages such as running drakconnect while upgrading from mga2 to mga3 (which is what happened here, didn't it?)
Summary: net_applet segfaulted => net_applet segfaulted (pango)
