Sound recorder stops working due to error ¨gnome-volume-control is not installed in the path¨ IN KDE and Gnome. No recording can be done. I am Mandrek user from the begining. Before installing Mageia 2 i586 32 bit, I was having Mandriva 2010.2. But due to overvoltage Hard Disk becomes unusable. So I shifted to Mageia 2. I am also using Fedor 14 & not updating to Latest Fedora due to unconfatality with Gnome 3. In Fedora 14, I do not Sound Recording problem.
