Description Sascha Schroeder 2013-05-15 21:48:17 CEST
Description of problem:

The KDE icons in boot splash, like when the Wifi or hard drive is loading, are missing in Mageia 3 RC.

It did work when I installed the RC freshly but somehow disappeared with later updates.

The dots above the "M" are still there and indicate that your system is loading.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install Mageia 3 RC and choose KDE as desktop environment. You will notice that the icons are there in the boot splash
2. do some updates
3. reboot

I think Atelier decided to do so for aesthetic reasons

Adding Donald too

Comment 3 Luc Menut 2013-05-15 22:35:41 CEST
Donald removed them in ksplash theme
http://svnweb.mageia.org/soft?view=revision&revision=7975

I removed them from the package, as they weren't used anymore

"Aesthetic reasons"........

Setting against cauldron for MGA4. This should have wider discussion
Comment 5 Donald 2014-01-20 12:33:02 CET
As we appear to have accepted their loss, and no one is screaming to have them back I'm closing this.

Status: NEW => RESOLVED
