[Hope version=Cauldron & severity=Major are correct; if not - correct these]. Testing Mag3 final Live Gnome 32-bit DVD, 11 May 2013, Install. The Bootloader screen has 2 drop-down lists for: - Choose loader (default Grub with menu) - Boot device (default the whole disc device = MBR) *Neither list opens/drops down to choose further*. If you do not want the default offers, this is a RELEASE STOPPER. Since this appears *after* the actual installation, it is not quickly arrived at to reproduce. I have only met it the first installation attempt (from initial menu).
Using Mageia-3-LiveDVD-GNOME-i586-DVD.iso, I cannot confirm this bug, as the dropdown boxes are working for me. Due to bug 7774, I'm using xdriver=vesa, if that matters.

Initial bug report was from menu Install. Re-tried with the KDE4 Mag3 final 32-bit 11 May Live DVD, installing fom the live desktop icon. The problem *is* still there, but looks different. The visible initial/default entries (Grub with graphic menu, whole disc device for bootloader) are the same. The boxes do drop down, and I think (deduce) with the correct length. But their content is meaningless: noise or nothing.
@lewyssmith@onetel.com: I suspect this one is OLD. If correct kindly close the BR? If still present: as you know, pre-5 installers will not be fixed, so in such case please up the fields version & whiteboard (and summary) as appropriate to 5, 5beta1 (or later). Thanks.
(In reply to Dick Gevers from comment #3) > I suspect this one is OLD. If correct kindly close the BR? You are certainly right, this bug could have been closed for Mageia 4. It was probably due to the SiS video on the box being used, that never worked with Mageia. But, please, how does one close a bug? I see no appropriate 'Status'. Happy to do it.
Thanks! Simply: status goes to RESOLVED, which causes a new scrollbutton to aapear, from which one chooses the appropriate one :))
