Another wrinkle.  x86_64 DVD, xfce desktop.  Clicking on the X top
right corner or MCC gives dialog 'are you sure you want to quit' but
still won't close.  Can't close it by right-clicking on MCC
representation in the panel either.  Using 'kill -15' for drakconf at
the command line brings up the dialog window but still won't kill it. 
Took kill -9 to close it.

It closes in the normal way with File -> Quit; why does the same popup
dialog to confirm close work if called this way, but not if called with
the X top right corner?

rpm -q drakxtools ; rpm -q drakconf ?

seems your cauldron is not updated
