I update today with last new rpm, i choose new rpm to time at the end of update.

It's now impossible to log in  with root password or user password.

Did you overwite /etc/shadow with /etc/shadow.rpmnew?

Hi, I had the exact same behaviour also on a VBox x86-64 3beta4.
I accepted systematically all .rpmnew without knowing the role of the different files (except for /etc/hosts that I use for local website development)

I can log as root when starting with failsafe mode, but I don't know how to correct this yet.

https://forums.mageia.org/en/viewtopic.php?p=33307#p33307 - I don't know if this is the best option out there. Thierry may know better solution.

rpmdrake-5.48 will prevent this to happen again
