Description Carlos Vives 2013-04-08 14:18:40 CEST
Description of problem:
KDE timeline has been broken for some time now. After researching a bit, it seems /usr/bin/strigidaemon refuses to start. Error thrown is:
Unknown backend type: clucene

All required Lucene libraries are installed.
LD_DEBUG=libs strigidaemon shows no attempt to load anything lucene related.

There are no other backends available to strigidaemon atm, thus making impossible to run the daemon meanwhile.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
0.7.8-1

How reproducible:
Every time strigidaemon is launched

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Run /usr/bin/strigidaemon
2. Daemon closes with clucene backend error

Ok, after some trial and error, compiling strigi myself, etc... it seems its working fine now and i can't reproduce the error with the original package either, so i guess it was some kind of freak error along the way.

Anyway, it seems you shouldn't start strigidaemon by yourself, but rather let Nepomuk start it, thus the clucene error on my end.

Anyway, closing it as invalid.
