Description of problem:
Configuring wifi leads to "failed to connect"

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Mageia 3 beta 4

How reproducible: systematic, tried lots of variations 

Has been there since Mageia 3 alpha's
It is the last uncorrected bug in my system that would prevent me to use Mageia 3

Steps to Reproduce:
1.  Update system to the latest
2.  Configure wifi with either drakconnect or Networkmanager 
3.  Unable to connect even with the simplest default setup (with or without password) 

Hardware:  Thinkpad W510 , wifi Centrino Ultimate-N 6300

Note: config files are identical to the ones for Mageia 2, which works on the same laptop

The problem disapeared after updating with the rpm's of April 8th 2013. 
inclunding a kernel 3.8.6-1 and the following wireless packages:

Not really.  On home wifi (with password) I could connect for the first time without understanding why.  
On work wifi (only difference is no password) the connection failed as before the update :(. 

After configuration with NetworkManager and connection to the work wifi the system log says:

Note the Missing SSID error is strange as the SSID is known and written in the /etc/wpa_supplicant.conf file.

"systemctl disable NetworkManage.service" and rebooting 
did solve my problem, which is similar to bug 7676.
