rtf document that illustrates the problem
Trying to submit the rtf file as a binary file - hope that works
Checking versions, I realised that I had accidentally disabled my core/release resource: the problem is also present with LO 4.0.2.2-2

thierry.vignaud Looks OK to me with 4.0.3.1 (from core/updates testing) Can you try with that version? Keywords:

NEEDINFO I installed 4.0.3.1 from core/updates testing: no change, similar amount of text is still not displayed. However, my confidence in the quality of the original rtf document, respectively of the capability of microsoft word to correctly display that text is now shaken. When I originally submitted the bug, I had checked the display of the rtf documents on a windows machine (on an old machine hanging around where I was at vacation at that time). Double checking now on my wifes windows machine at home, the display is much better than that presented by Mageia LO, but the MS display here cuts off the upper parts of lines in multiline paragraphs. I suggest to keep the bug open: the basic fact remains - LO displays this rtf text cutting off large parts. Where I now feel uneasy is the quality of the original rtf text, but I have no means to verify that quality other than by submitting it to MS-word on windows machines. Sorry for this complication. You had better report it upstream anyway at https://www.libreoffice.org/bugzilla/ Can you try LO-4.3 from updates_testing? Thanks, I now tried with LO-4.4.0.3 What I get is much better, and perfectly readable. Some messyness is still there, but I attribute this to a slightly messy rtf document, certainly produced and tested on an MS-word system. For me it is OK to close this bug when LO-4.4.0.3 lands
