Description William Kenney 2013-03-26 19:16:59 CET 
First install M2 with boot.iso from an updated repo.
Then attempt upgrade with Mageia-3-beta4-i586-DVD.iso
written to a DVD disc. All on real hardware.

/root/drakx directory attached ( drakx_80b.tar.gz )

"80b" refers to the 80GB #B scratch drive used in test

Error message at the end of the unsuccessful install referred to:

libfonts requires itext
itext requires java-1.5.0-gcj, which is not in Mageia 3.

I think this is just a urpmi cascade error, triggered by itext,
which has already been reported in bug 9341.

In the second run ddebug.log1, it has
adding distrib media from
ftp://mageia:linux@192.168.1.2//distrib/2/i586

It should have been adding distrib media from
ftp://mageia:linux@192.168.1.2//distrib/cauldron/i586

ddebug1 was renamed iirc, it come from the netinstall.
William, if you can reproduce with the new dvd ... :)

For sure I will rerun this whole thing again on or
before Tues, 5 Apr with the latest 32-bit DVD at
that time.
