mageia-i18n If you can allow the translation in time, this is the one for Italian: "Unisciti alla comunità Mageia" cheers, Marcello @ Marcello What is it like, now. Is the issue still there in current cauldron or Mageia 1 ? CC:

marja11 this is referred to mageia 1 release, but i think this is also a cauldron issue. @ Marcello, You are saying the bug is still there in mageia 1, and you think it is still in current cauldron, but don't know for sure?

nico83110 (In reply to comment #5) > @ Marcello, > > You are saying the bug is still there in mageia 1, and you think it is still in > current cauldron, but don't know for sure? Confirmed: The bug is still valid in Mageia 1 and Cauldron (both 64-bit KDE installations, including updates as of today, 09:00 GMT) CC:

molch.b The bug is not valid in Mageia 2 alpha1... but there's no desktop icon at all. I suppose it will be back before RC. CC:

remi Can you open another one for that ? http://svnweb.mageia.org/soft/desktop-common-data/trunk/desktop/default/register.desktop.in?view=log Priority:

release_blocker The problem is that desktop-common-data requires menu-messages to build, but we don't have menu-messages source in mageia yet. I've created desktop-common-data translation catalog. Could somebody push it into transifex? For Mageia 1, i will push an update packages later, as long as translators finish the icon translation. Status:

ASSIGNED catalogue imported into Tx for Cauldron. Do we have it for 1 as well? There's nothing in the 1 branch of the svn. CC:

RESOLVED on irc://irc.freenode.net/#mageia-i18n today: <ennael> I would like to close that bug for beta2 So I volunteered to check and replace Mandriva with Mageia in po files in SVN with latin or transliterated strings: $ svn status M cy.po M da.po M es.po M eu.po M gl.po M hu.po M is.po M ja.po M ky.po M ms.po M nb.po M nn.po M pl.po M pt_BR.po M pt.po M ro.po M sv.po M zh_TW.po Respective translators please check these two especially: jp, pl I'm sure that Bulgarian bg.po still use Mandriva but I'm not very good at their alphabet so I didn't change it: bg.po-msgstr "ÐÑиÑÑединеÑе Ñе кÑм ÐандÑива ÐбÑноÑÑÑа" I'm not sure about Hebrew language so I also didn't change it: he.po-msgstr "×צ×רפ×ת ×ק×××ת ×× ×ר×××" IMPORTANT NOTE: Polish is also Slavic language as Slovene. So I noticed that we both use declension for the name of distribution. Language corruption or no desired change in string can occur if someone just use "s/Mandriva/Mageia/". Of course we don't use declension for company or association name. I'm not sure for other Slavic language but I suppose they have similar language rules for declension. ANOTHER IMPORTANT NOTE: There are still many languages not with empty but without that string altogether. At least br.po, id.po, ku.po, ml.po, sr.po. Thanks for your work Filip! About Bulgarian and Hebrew: - the few notions of Cyrillic alphabet I learned when I was 14 or so indicate that "ÐандÑива" indeed reads "Mandriva". If we look at the Russian Wikipedia page for Mageia[1] (I know Russian and Bulgarian are different languages, but since they use the same alphabet maybe they follow the same rules regarding foreign names), it seems they do not transcribe strings such as Mageia, Mandriva or Linux. So I guess we can replace "ÐандÑива" by "Mageia". Though the simplest way would be to make sure the string is fuzzy, so that the English string is used (it could bring Bulgarians to contribute to Mageia). - for Hebrew, I don't read it, so I would advise to make sure the string is fuzzy. They were both already fuzzy. So I leaved them as they are. For the same reason (we need native translators). (In reply to comment #18) Thank you Kamil, I commited that string. Previously it was "DoÅÄcz do SpoÅecznoÅci Mageiy". It will be this way in MGA2 Beta 2. I'm sorry if that 'y' on the end sounds bad. It seems to me that declension in Polish is also not simple ;). To you and all others who posted translations here I suggest that you commit them (also) directly to SVN in future. CC:

filip.komar Hebrew and Cyrillic need the right pronunciation. Is it /maweia/ ? There is no right pronunciation for Mageia, it is up to each user. See the outdated FAQ: http://www.mageia.org/en/faq/ Hebrew: "×צ××¨×¤× ×ק×××ת ××××". (In reply to comment #22) > Hebrew: "×צ××¨×¤× ×ק×××ת ××××". I updated the he.po file for desktop-common-data accordingly. It probably won't be included in Mageia 2 though, unless desktop-common-data is rebuilt before the release. |
