Description of problem:
Every time 3D desktop effects gets activated, right after finishing a new installation (tried on 2 different computers: desktop and laptop), extra software gets installed and configured. After a new logon, the windows have no decorations at all.

Had this problem on Mageia 3 - Betas 2 & 3

How reproducible:
So far, I have had the same problem on two different computers.


Steps to Reproduce:
1. New install off of the Live CD - Mageia 3 Beta 3
2. Activate 3D desktop
3. Logoff and back on
4. No window decorations.

well I guess kde and compiz doesn't work well together ? (and kde as 3d effect)

More like bug#5190. There is a bug in the path of the default wrapper for choosing the compositor. I just pushed compiz-0.9.9.0-2 to cauldron with a tentative fix for this bug.

Hermann : to fix the problem, you could launch ccsm and in decor plugin property, put the correct path to the decorator : /usr/bin/compiz-decorator

Or after upgrading, delete $HOME/.config/compiz-1/compizconfig/Default.ini and restart the session.

Julien, that solved the problem. I did both (change the path and delete the old Default.ini) Anyway, it is working now.
