Description Markus Mertens 2013-03-19 08:52:34 CET
Description of problem:

During installation there are two problems with proxy settings:

1. You cannot define a proxy at all when you are asked for additional installation media before software installation (e.g. http).

2. After base installation from DVD you can define proxy settings, but you cannot set a user/password combination.

This causes problems if you try to install Mageia or want to install latest updates during the installation process behind a user/password protected firewall. I know that after the first reboot you can configure a proxy including user/password settings. But offering a partly working option during the installation process is at least confusing.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

all versions including Mageia 3 beta3

How reproducible:

always.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Make sure you have set up a proxy with user/password protection
2. run installation and try to add network resources
