RPM Packages I have a brand spanking new Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3 motherboard that uses this NIC. I spent the weekend trying to get ANY 64-bit Linux to work with this NIC: Mandriva 2010.2, Fedora 18, Centos 5.9, Ubuntu 12.04 and 13.04. Not one of the 64-bit versions would connect, although they all recognized that the NIC is there. First clue that 32-bit would work was when I loaded Trinity Rescue Kit 3.4 and it worked just fine. So I tried Mandriva 2010.2 32-bit and *PRESTO* it worked: connects, dhcpd gets an address and all is right with the world. When I found the Mageia distro I thought, since Version 3 was an April 2013 release, it might have fixed this very, VERY well known bug. Nope - same result as all the others: NIC is recognized, TX reports lots of sends, RX reports nothing received. I have also tried the Mageia Live DVD 64-bit and it fails in the same way. Mageia Live DVD 32-bit works, as I have now come to expect. keith ericson email: mageia@compumetics.com CC:
