Yep. Just booted from the live DVD with the 3.8.1 kernel. It recognizes the adapter and connects to the network just fine. Well, I re-installed and now there is no notification that I need to update to the 3.8.3 kernel. Maybe I installed an inappropriate software source... Please see my comments for but 9424 -- this went away when I reinstalled from the Live DVD *and* did the updates. So, it's not reproducible upon reinstallation. I'm removing the bug report. Sorry about that. Status:
