A GUI is available for qrencode - QR Code encoder into PNG imageâ

Qrencode is a utility software using libqrencode to encode string data in a QR Code and save as a PNG image.

How reproducible:
This is commandline, very easy to use!

But the benefit of this GUI qtqr is not to encode but the possibility to decode a QR into text, probably not by using a smartphone but rather a webcam on PC
