Description Brian Rockwell 2013-03-13 02:18:03 CET
Using Mageia 3 Beta 3 - installed today

After first use of Libreoffice Calc - it now opens as a thin vertical line along the left hand of the screen.

I am able to stretch the application to see the menus and cells, but upon reopening it comes back as a thin vertical line.

It stopped doing this once I saved a file once.

It's the way LibreOffice works: it remembers the last size and position of the previous session in its configuration files. And it's "module-specific" that means that it stores different informations for writer, calc, etc.
So perhaps you changed a calc window size while working on a writer document, then closing all libre-office: at the next start of calc, you get your last calc window size.

You can verify it by renaming your libreoffice preference directory

/home/<user>/.config/libreoffice/N/user in
/home/<user>/.config/libreoffice/N/user-SAVE

N= major version of LibreOffice: 3 in Mga2 and 4 in Mga3

Start Libre-office : you shouldn't have your small sized calc window.

Don't forget to restore your preference directory in order to

I would suggest to close this report.

I'll close it.

I could see that happening and I only experienced it once.
