Description bozonius 2013-03-09 07:04:57 CET
Description of problem:
When the installation reaches the stage where it is actually installing packages, there is a graphic that appears with 5 panels that display sequentially. Part of that graphic is an indicator showing which panel is being displayed. There are two arrows which are ostensibly to manually switch to the last or next panel. These arrows are inoperable.

This is not a serious defect, however, if a user wants to actually "go back" to view a previous panel, they might be a bit surprised when the mouse clicks fail to do anything.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Mageia-3-beta3-i586-DVD.iso

How reproducible:
Run the installation and try to click on the forward or back arrows.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Boot the system with the mageia 3 iso.
2. Select choices for installation; defaults will work for this purpose
3. Wait until actual installation begins
4. Try to click on the forward or back arrows

Reproducible:

I see mageia installation help calls these "panels" a slide show. I'll add that to the description.

Summary: navigation arrows on installation graphic do not function => slide show navigation arrows on installation do not function

I have posted the first slide that displays during the file copying phase (actual installation). If you want to see the others, I can provide them.

ah ok, I see now, in fact this is automatic, every n secondes is switch to the next in a loop

Severity: normal => enhancement

I admit this is a very LOW priority. I only reported this for completeness. I would not hold it against the QA or release team to put this off for another release, but that's just IMHO

Those were just part of the images and were later removed.
