Uncompressed dmg images can be mounted by the mount command.

But to read *compressed* dmg images we need this tool.

I complied dmg2img-1.6.4 locally on this mga1-64 system:
I only needed to install package lib64bzip2-devel (it wanted the file bzlib.h)
Then in the unpacked dmg2img-1.6.4 folder I issued make
Then as root: make install
And it worked.
