Description of problem:
In the MCC, it is impossible to reach any program just with keyboard: the
TAB key just let you navigate in the left panel and you need the mouse to launch programs in the right zone.

What would be cool would be:

1. to let the user navigate between rubrics with TAB key in the left panel (that's currently the case),

2. when he reaches the rubric he is interested in, to let him be able to select it with "Enter" key (the corresponding programs appear in the right zone), and let the focus being on the right panel,

3. navigate between all the program in the right panel with TAB key and selecting the desired program with "Enter" key,

4. at the end of the program list in the right zone, a new TAB brings the user in the left panel (hence he is able to go out this zone and to select another rubric if desired).

How reproducible:
Every time I use MCC.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open MCC,
2. Press TAB key: you just navigate in the left panel
3. Press any other shortcut: no effect (except "Enter" key that lets you select the rubric on which the focus
was on)

Maybe this workaround helps you: all MCC tools can be started from the command line

Look at the manual here http://docteam.mageia.nl/en/MCC/content/index.html to find the correct commands (at the bottom of each page about a MCC tool)

For me (Mga2, KDE), pressing tab doesn't do anything in the left panel, btw.

Assigning to maintainer, to decide what to do with this request.

If someone sees the keyboard behaviour is the same in cauldron, then please change version to cauldron and put MGA2TOO on the whiteboard.

I know the workaround, but I didn't where to find all the corresponding names: thanks!

For me (also Mga2, KDE), pressing (shift+)tab or using the up/down arrow keys let me navigate between rubrics in the left panel.

None of them work on the machine I use at this moment

Only mentioning it because it might matter if tv decides to fix this enhancement request.

Mageia 3 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status 4 months ago.

Could this (old) bug be considered for Mageia 7?
