Example:

Creating a new partition on some free space.

Click the free space and select Create
Change your mind

You're currently unable to cancel the operation.

Clicking the X to close that window asks 'Are you sure you want to quit?'

OKing that shows an error "wizcancel"

I can't reproduce the "wizcancel" error in Mageia 5 alpha1, now if you click the X to close the window and confirm that you want to exit, you are back to the screen where you have to choose between custom partitioning and auto-partitioning.

The bug is still valid though, it should be possible to cancel the creation of a partition if you changed your mind (clicking "Create" should not write anything to the partition table, so it should be possible to go backwards at this step).

For the reference, diskdrake offers the possibility to cancel the operation, but draklive-install's partitioning tool doesn't.
