Description Jochen Breuer 2013-02-13 09:38:42 CET
Description of problem:
Whenever I copy big files (4GB in 3 files) via Samba network from NAS1 to NAS2 with dolphin the system is, after a while, not usable anymore and does almost not respond. I've been able to reproduce this the second time.

Syslog shows this:
Feb 11 23:58:04 localhost kernel: VFS: file-max limit 197138 reached
Feb 11 23:58:08 localhost kernel: VFS: file-max limit 197138 reached
Feb 11 23:58:14 localhost kernel: VFS: file-max limit 197138 reached
⦠aso

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Mount samba share of NAS1 with dolphin
2. Mount samba share of NAS2 with dolphin
3. Copy large files from NAS1 to NAS2 with dolphin
4. Wait until the system freezes and syslog shows file-max limitâ¦
