How reproducible:
when clicking on the icones of firefox browser or thunderbid mail client, they very slowly open

I have to say that it occurs on a mageia2.i586 obtained by upgrading a mageia1 (upgrading made on line using commands line on a terminal)
It almost doesn't occur on a mageia2 64 bits, installed "ex-nihilo" (i.e. with the installation DVD); here "almost" means that this happens the first time you open firefox after booted and logged in, and later no more.

cleaning this mageia2-32 by "upgrading" it with the installation DVD fixes the problem; fine works now.
In fact upgrading with the installation DVD doesn't upgrade anything, this my distrib already was up to date, but it may remove little bugs as this one.
