This is expected at present. You can work around it by stopping the installer at that point using CTRL/ALT/F2 followed by CTRL/ALT/DEL. The installation is complete and grub2 has already created a menu and installed /boot/grub2/i386-pc/core.img. You can boot into the installation from a legacy grub menu entry like: title Mageia via GRUB 2 root (hdx,y) kernel /boot/grub2/i386-pc/core.img CC:
