release_blocker I have tested a local build of kdenlive with it's own local ffmpeg, mlt etc. that was built in Jan 2012 but running in Cauldron, and this works fine, so it seems this is not a basic system setup issue. I have also just built a package of the latest kdenlive (0.9.4) official release (released yesterday) and it has the same issue.

Description of problem: No sound working in any preview play mode AFAICT using this version in Cauldron. All other sound applications are OK using PA and onboard Intel sound (no fancy sound card). I have checked in two separate default installs of current Cauldron.
