This bug was reported against Cauldron during the Mageia 3 release cycle. Can you still reproduce it in the released Mageia and/or in Cauldron, or should we close this as OLD?

It is.
The whole stack has been updated (gobject/glib/gtk+).
What's more we now use gtk+3.x instead of 2.x
