RESOLVED hello On Mageia3 beta4 libgnome-media-profiles is not in Gnome-media package (In reply to christian fischer from comment #4) > hello > On Mageia3 beta4 > libgnome-media-profiles is not in Gnome-media package Adding these worked for me too, thanks! Maybe it needs to be added as a dependancy. Just an addendum for people who, like me, found a non-working gnome-sound-recorder on Mageia 3: It depends on gstreamer 0.10. So if you installed the gstreamer 1.0 plugins, but no gstreamer 0.10 plugin, gnome-sound-recorder will be unable to even record raw .wav files. Installing gstreamer0.10-flac is enough to let it show output formats. CC:

REOPENED Forgot to mention in the previous comment: no gstreamer 0.10 audio encoder is installed by default, so gnome-sound-recorder is broken by default. CLI urpmi error no such package gstreamer 0.10 audio encoder gstreamer0.10-flac already installed.gstreamer 0.10 already installed. But sound recorder is not working. Record from shows only Capture. Record as Disabled. I am also using Fedora 14 & Mandriva 2010.2. Everything is working in that Linux OS; not in Majeia 2 or 3. Status:

doktor5000, mageia I have the same issue. Sound recorder opens, but nothing happens. I can record and play back from Audacity without problem. When I try to open the volume control from within the app, I get an empty window. It appears to be trying to open the sound control within gnome-control-center, but nothing is there. If I try to open gnome-control-center from a console I get a blank window. the problem may be in gnome-control-center Am using Mageia 3 x86_64 CC:

https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11456 Mageia 3 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status 4 months ago. http://blog.mageia.org/en/2014/11/26/lets-say-goodbye-to-mageia-3/ Mageia 3 is no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug. If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of Mageia please feel free to click on "Version" change it against that version of Mageia and reopen this bug. Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed. -- The Mageia Bugsquad Status:
