decarvalhoaa hi Florian, i haven't permissions for build on Mageia build system any package. usally import only for Mageia (now for fedora) java packages. Since the maintenance of Mageia java, using Fedora packages. To avoid overlap my work with them, now keep the amount of packages that i use only for fedora (jboss-as). if you want to make obsolete or withdraw this package for me there are no problems thanks happy new year Rather than making the package obsolete, any chance getting it assigned to a release and submitted into the stable repository any time soon? There is no proper subtitle editorial kde tool in mageia, and subtitleeditor is the best. Thanks and happy new year A Why not train to become maintainer Antonio? https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Becoming_a_Mageia_Packager Hi Claire, Fair enough. Now that you mentioned it, I'd be happy giving something back to the community after so many year as mandrake, mandriva and now mageia user. I'll give it a try and start looking for a mentor after reading all the documentation. Cheers A I'm not quite sure i'd have enough time for proper mentoring to be honest, but for a quick start you may want to do the following: Do a checkout of the cauldron branch for subtitleeditor: https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Packagers_svn#Is_there_anonymous_access_to_svn.3F this should look like svn co svn://svn.mageia.org/packages/cauldron/subtitleeditor/current subtitleeditor and then follow the procedure given for the source tarball. (This has to be done only manually for anonymous checkout) You may also want to read https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Packaging_for_beginners Then try to make sure the package builds cleanly (via bm -la subtitleeditor.spec within your svn checkout), and do an rpmlint -i on the resulting binary and source rpms and make sure that there are no errors.
