Mga1 version is cdp-0.33-22.1.mga1.src.rpm and cdp in Mga2 release is cdp-0.33-22.mga2.src.rpm, so confirm the problem. I get no audio played by either version but it does control the cd and show it playing. You have to have one of those little audio cables that connects internally from the CD-ROM drive to the sound card to get audio. Most computers don't ship with those these days :o( That explains it, thanks. Ok for me then as far as it goes. Whiteboard:

mga2-64-OK Same result as Claire ... No problem for updating cdp is silent : having no audio cable from CD-drive to soundcard. Validated for Mageia2 32bits CC:
