You can make it work like this : http://www.downloadatoz.com/howto/kde-4-5-guide-how-to-enable-webkit-in-konqueror-browser,6084.html. So this is not a bug so closing it as invalid. Roelof CC:

RESOLVED Your explanation is not correct. It is made for Ubuntu and for Kde 4.5 intead of 4.9.90. But thanks to this link, I have found that kwebkitpart is needed. With MCC -> rpmdrake I have installed kwebkitpart and then Konqueror -> Configuration allows to select KHTML or WebKit. I reopen the bug report because I want a better solution. The problem is that webkit seems entirely loaded and available (rpm -qa "*webkit*"), konqueror is installed, but kwebkitpart is not installed. Why is it missing? It is not obvious to find it and not obvious to search in Ubuntu... Kwebkitpart must be installed with other packages of webkit, especially if konqueror is installed. Status:

nicolas.lecureuil kwebkitpart is an *optional* dependency & *not* a dependency of konqueror. There's (from my point of view) no reason to install by default a package which is not going to be used by the majority (since the majority is not using konqueror but rather another www browser ) especially if it's not also used by default. It's seems more useful to use a browser like rekonq instead if you want to use a webkit KDE browser. Btw who is Bauldron ? I agree that kwebkitpart is an optional dependency of konqueror. But the default environment of Mageia is KDE and konqueror is listed in the menu, not rekonq. IMO, a solution is to add kwebkitpart in the dependencies of webkit. kwebkitpart is not a dependency of webkit so adding it as a dependency is wrong not to mention that you're going to add it on libraries since lib64kdewebkit5 & lib64qtwebkit2.2_4 are only libraries. So again the only solution is to add a suggests on konqueror not a requires( which means it's not going to be installed by default, neither configured by default) The others rpm packages listed in comment #1 have no relations with KDE/Qt Mageia does not have default environnement btw (Gnome, KDE, Xfce & others are equals) but have a default www browser which is firefox.
