IPList (the utility itself, command prompt driven) and IPBlock (it's GUI, optional), are IP filtering software (a kind of (software) firewall extension), that is usefull for blocking specific or entire range of IPs.
Most known for its use with torrenting or file sharing in general, its still usefull for normal browsing - downloading.
Helps you keeping preying eyes, away from your serfing - sharing, history.

Personally I had it installed, when I was using Mandriva, before switching to Mageia.

Hi ÎιÏÏγοÏ

The package was indeed in Mandriva 2010.2, so if it gets packaged for cauldron, it is valid to package it for Mageia 2 updates, too.

However, nothing will get packaged for Mageia 1 anymore, because Mga 1 is beyond EOL.

Version: 1 => Cauldron
CC: (none) => marja11
Summary: IPList is an (open source) IP filtering program, for Linux. => iplist, an (open source) IP filtering program, for Linux.
Whiteboard: (none) => MGA2TOO, Mdv

Sorry! My fault!
I just realized what's the meaning of these numbers.
I wrote "1", just because I instructed: "(Version:) choose "Cauldron", unless the package exists in Mandriva 2010.2, in the last case choose "1"".
It was my first Mageia completed bug form and I got confused.

Maybe the documentation, must be updated (on the page "How to file a package request"):

My best wishes for Merry Christmas and Happy Holliday Season for everyone! :-)

Assigning this package request to all packagers collectively. On a voluntary basis, one of them might want to integrate it to the distribution and maintain it for bug and security fixes.

You might also want to join the packager team to maintain this piece of software: see https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Becoming_a_Mageia_Packager
