I am supporting this request. Currently, I am merging Napcok's changes into SVN.. as I am a full packager, but it isn't good either for me or for Daniel (napcok) not to do this work directly.

iirc team leader of i18n can add people too, so adding the ml (but I'm not sure)

Actually Oliver and I can add people to the LDAP groups, but there is another step that require sysadmin intervention to promote the accounts (except for packagers who already have the required attributes).

In the future such requests should be grouped in bug 8560 (which will be reopened when needed).
