Low I read that Mageia can't host an instance of crowdin, so there is nothing webteam can do: http://crowdin.net/page/faq#general-5 Reassigning to i18n, in case they haven't yet decided for pootle or another replacement for transifex. CC:

marja11, oliver.bgr, remi No offence meant, but that doesn't stop Mageia from creating a new project & uploading new xml-files to crowdin & then link to that project-page on the wiki & on the main-page. Right? As I read it, that is neither open source nor free (of charge). So I think it's a no go. I didn't have all that much time lately (much to do at work and so on), but I have two weeks off now and I'm gonna try to install pootle in that time. Cheers!

RESOLVED Non open source solution. I personally prefer Weblate or Pootle. Weblate is relatively young but it just gets the job done (may require git migration, not sure)! Pootle is relatively heavyweight but very easy to use and maintain. There are several other open source solutions which may need more investigation for this kind of usage: Transifex - Great platform, a little heavy but very easy to use TranslateWiki - Used by the Wikimedia foundation in order to translate MediaWiki Zanata - A Red Hat project (I don't have any experience with it though). Links: Weblate - http://www.weblate.org Pootle - http://translate.sourceforge.net/wiki/pootle/index Transifex - http://www.transifex.com (github project at .org) TranslateWiki - http://www.translatewiki.net Zanata - http://www.zanata.org Kind regards, Yaron Shahrabani. sh.yaron You should also try out https://poeditor.com/, it is free for open source projects and has a nice limit otherwise. It's very simple to use and helpful for translators. CC:
