Description Jeffrey Bruton 2012-12-10 03:43:33 CET
Description of problem:
Attempted upgrade of existing and working M2 install using a VM inside Virtual Box fails after the Keyboard Selection screen with error:
"An error occured
caller should have used -> read_config or
-> configure first."
After the OK button is pressed for the error, a dialog flashes too quick to been read, and then the same error comes up again. The third time you press the OK button to clear the error the dialog that could not be read before can now be read and it says:
"Enabling swap partition sda5"

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Mageia 3 Alpha 3

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install Virtual Box on an existing and working install of Mageia 2.
2. Create a VM for Mageia.
3. Install Mageia 2 in the above new VM.
4. Verify the M2 install works as it should.
5. Boot above VM with M3-A3 Network Install CD-ROM
6. Choose to Upgrade M2 install when prompted.
7. After the Keyboard Selection screen the above detailed error comes up.
