Description of problem:

* preferring plasma-applet-kimpanel-backend-ibus over ibus-ui-gtk3
* replacing ibus-ui with plasma-applet-kimpanel-backend-ibus
* selecting plasma-applet-kimpanel-backend-ibus-4.9.90-1.mga3.x86_64
* requiring plasma-applet-kimpanel[== 4.9.90] for plasma-applet-kimpanel-backend-ibus-4.9.90-1.mga3.x86_64
* chosen plasma-applet-kimpanel-4.9.90-1.mga3.x86_64 for plasma-applet-kimpanel[== 4.9.90]
* selecting plasma-applet-kimpanel-4.9.90-1.mga3.x86_64

resulting it install all kde

we don't have prefer.vendor to workaround something like ? (don't really know sorry :/)

I yes I forget, I chose only gnome, in the manual choice, and my language settings are only french

You should add gnome maintainers instead of kde's one ;o)
Also i guess that if ibus-gtk3 provides ibus-ui everything should go smoothly.
Fwang might have an idea here.

It's probably because we have plasma-applet-kimpanel-backend-ibus in prefer.vendor.list, in order to have plasma-applet-kimpanel-backend-ibus preferred over plasma-applet-kimpanel-backend-scim.

Adding ibus-ui-gtk3 in prefer.vendor.list perhaps could fix this bug.
We need to try, but after beta1 release because we are in soft freeze currently.

ok, setting ibus-ui-gtk3 in prefer.vendor.list before plasma-applet-kimpanel-backend-ibus works (and yes, it must be before or gnome ends up with plasma* anyway).

a Gnome install gets ibus-ui-gtk3
a Kde install gets plasma-applet-kimpanel-backend-ibus

Status: NEW => RESOLVED
