Could you install:
  gnome-themes-standard

and tell me if it works after that?

not working
Comment 8 Olav Vitters 2012-12-11 23:17:13 CET
Hmm.. more trial and error commands:
  killall nautilus
  strace nautilus 2>&1 | grep theme > ~/tmp/nautilus-theme.log

then review ~/tmp/nautilus-theme.log for privacy issues (should be nothing), if fine, please attach it to this bug. It should let me figure out what icons it is searching for.

> Hmm.. more trial and error commands:

bash-4.2$ killall nautilus
nautilus: no process found
bash-4.2$ strace nautilus 2>&1 | grep theme > ~/tmp/nautilus-theme.log
bash: /home/dan/tmp/nautilus-theme.log: No such file or directory
Comment 10 Luis Menina 2012-12-20 11:42:09 CET
Seems you don't have a tmp directory in your home. Just run this command:
mkdir ~/tmp

â¦and retry the procedure described in comment 8.

Log from Comment 8

I am running Xfce without problems. Nautilus is used only by Dropbox, but the icons are not visible if I start it manually. The theme files mentioned do exist. /usr/share/icons/oxygen/index.theme for example, is owned by user and group root and has permissions 644.

solved in mageia 3 beta 2
