arnaud.patard, mageia, pterjan could be a consequence of bug 8223, rtp, pterjan, blino, I'm right ? It could very well be; I am not qualified to say. BTW, I am running Alpha 2. I haven't finished downloading Alpha 3 yet. I don't think it is directly related, but probably triggered by the update. Grub updates itself when the package is updated, but it should only happen where it was installed already. Today's update seems to have cured the problem. My Cauldron bootloader was installed, but that would have happened anyway, if I had run an upgrade-type installation. More importantly, it gave me a proper Grub menu, and I was able to reboot into Mga 2 without any problem. Thanks guys!
