If I press the 'stop' button in the notification I then get this second notification that says 'unknown role type [finished]'.
are you able to reproduce ? if yes can you attach the .xsession-errors and .xsession-errors.old Created attachment 3170 [details]

balcaen.john This has not occurred in a couple of days, so it may be fixed now. (I can still see the problem if I boot up the live dvd.) If this does not occur again soon I would say this is fixed. Has not recured, marking resolved. Status:
