Installed Cauldron from live DVD, added sources incl/ tainted and non-free and got all available updates. From the first boot after installation, I have been seeing kde notifications for no apparent reason which have no real information, I'm attaching an example screenshot.

If I press the 'stop' button in the notification I then get this second notification that says 'unknown role type [finished]'.

Well knotify is just the messenger here.
From the icon it seems to be something related to packagekit.

This has not occurred in a couple of days, so it may be fixed now. (I can still see the problem if I boot up the live dvd.) If this does not occur again soon I would say this is fixed.
