Description Philippe Didier 2012-11-16 19:09:29 CET
Description of problem:
clamtk 4.37 provided by Mageia2 was published Feb 4 2012

when launched it displays a warning about the fact it is not up todate

a new version 4.42 exists since Sep 12 2012
bringing some improvements
Comment 1 Philippe Didier 2012-11-16 19:38:14 CET
NB
dams updates clamtk regularly in cauldron (cauldron version is 4.42)

when clamav is in updates, clamtk may be added in updates too : no problem for bug 2317 with this dependancy :)

Thanks Damien! Is this ready for QA?

You can add a note to the advisory for this that removes the requires on
libgnomesu, so users can safely remove it from their systems.

Comment 5 Damien Lallement 2012-12-07 19:19:33 CET
Advisory:
-------------
When launching clamtk, it displays a warning saying it's not up to date.
This update fixes this warning by providing the latest release for the package.
Moreover 'libgnomesu' is no longuer a require of clamtk.
-------------

Packages:
-------------
clamtk-4.43-1.mga2.noarch.rpm

How to test:
-------------
1. Install Mageia 2
2. Install clamtk and see the warning
3. Install clamtk form updates/testing and check it still working (without libgnomesu) and do not warn about outdated release.

Status: NEW => ASSIGNED

Comment 6 Philippe Didier 2012-12-07 19:52:47 CET
Bonjour Damien !

Update OK in Mageia 32bits

On an everyday used Mageia2 :
- Downloaded from updates_testing
- Installed (updating previous version 4.37)
- Launched

No more warning :)

Clamtk works always well as a GUI for clamav (the update doesn't break anything)

Thanks
Et merci

Philippe

Validating the update.

Could a sysadmin please push clamtk to updates for Mageia 2?

Here's the package and advisory again from Comment 5 by Damien.
