Description of problem:

touch: cannot touch â/etc/resolv.confâ: Too many levels of symbolic links

How reproducible: Always


Steps to Reproduce:
1. clean install of Mageia-3-alpha3-x86_64-DVD.iso
2. set system to boot at runlevel 3, apply all updates
3. remove "splash quite" from kernel boot line, reboot.
4. watch screen for 
      touch: cannot touch â/etc/resolv.confâ: Too many levels of symbolic links
and/or
5. grep touch /var/log/boot.log

That would be either initscripts or resolvconf
(/etc/rc.d/init.d/mandrake_everytime or /etc/resolvconf/update.d/libc)

Likely resolvconf, which I updated (synced with ROSA).

Possibly this patch:

If the problem is here, we should tell ROSA too.
